Sam brought OakBridge and its predecessor company’s presence to the New York metropolitan area in 1999, when he opened the New Jersey office that he continues to manage. In his more than 20 years in the industry, Sam has developed a strong technical background, solid ties to the underwriting community and a loyal following of retail broker relationships. Sam began his insurance career in 1987, holding retail broker positions with Fred. S. James & Co. of New Jersey and Johnson & Higgins in New York. He was also a senior executive and manager of the east coast Financial Services Division of another national wholesale brokerage firm prior to joining OakBridge.

Sam holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the E. Claiborne Robins School of Business at the University of Richmond and the Associate in Risk Management designation from the Insurance Institute of America. He is also an active member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society.
